      Governed by ASME Section VIII,it is approved for code construction up to 1650°F (899°C).
    • 10,000-Hour Rupture Strength:
      At a typical service temperature of 1400°F (760°C),the plate can withstand a continuous stress of approximately 7,500 psi (52 MPa) for 10,000 hours without failure.
    • 100,000-Hour Creep Limit:
      For a minimum creep rate of 0.01% per 1,000 hours at 1200°F (649°C),the allowable stress is roughly 15,000 psi (103 MPa).

    Incoloy 800 is the base alloy used mainly for corrosion and heat resistance up to 1100°F (593°C),does not require a specific grain size.
    Incoloy 800H has a higher carbon content and undergoes solution annealing at high temperatures,resulting in coarse grain structure.It exhibits excellent creep rupture strength at temperatures above 1100°F.
    Incoloy 800HT has stricter limits on aluminum and titanium content and a higher minimum heat treatment temperature,providing maximum creep resistance in extreme-temperature applications.

    The 19-23% Chromium content forms a protective,tightly adherent chromium oxide scale that prevents continuous metal wastage.

    • For applications operating above 1430°F (775°C),matching-strength fillers like Inconel Filler Metal 617 (ERNiCrCoMo-1) or Alloy 21-33Nb are highly recommended to ensure the weld metal matches the high creep-rupture strength of the 800H base plate.
