How to deal with the damage on the surface of the welded stainless steel  pipe?

During the manufacturing process of welded stainless steel pipes, rust spots will appear on the surface, and welding spatter will occur during welding. Therefore, scratches will appear on the surface of the stainless steel welded pipe in use, so how to deal with the damage on the surface of the stainless steel welded pipe?

Rust spots:

Occasionally, rust may be seen on stainless steel pipe products or equipment before or during production, which indicates that the surface is seriously contaminated.

The rust must be removed before the equipment is put into use. The thoroughly cleaned surface should be checked by iron test and / or water test.

Welding spatters:

The welding spatter has a lot to do with the welding process.

TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas Welding) has no spatter.

However, if two welding processes, GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) and FCAW (Fluxed-cored Arc welding) are used, improper welding parameters will cause a lot of spatter.

When this happens, the parameters must be adjusted.

If you want to solve the problem of welding spatter, you should apply anti-spatter to each side of the joint before welding, so that the adhesion of the spatter can be eliminated.

After welding, this splash-proof agent and various spatters can be easily cleaned off, without damaging the surface or causing minor damage.

Scratches:

To prevent the accumulation of process lubricants or products and / or dirt, scratches and other rough surfaces must be mechanically cleaned.

The manufacturing process of stainless steel welded pipe must be fine, and some small problems can be avoided, so as to ensure the quality of the product.
