Introduction of TP347H (1Cr19Ni11Nb) stainless steel pipe
As a stainless steel pipe fittings supplier, today kaysuns will share the introduction of what is TP347H (1Cr19Ni11Nb) stainless steel pipes.

TP347H (1Cr19Ni11Nb) is a high-carbon niobium-containing Cr-Ni austenitic stainless steel. Due to the stabilizing element Nb, it has good resistance to intergranular corrosion and polysulfuric acid intergranular stress corrosion.
347H stainless steel is a kind of stainless steel with very good stability. Under the condition that the temperature reaches 800-1500°F (427-816°C) and the chromium carbide is precipitated, it can still maintain good resistance to intergranular corrosion.
Due to the addition of titanium in the composition, 347H can still maintain stability in the case of chromium carbide formation.
TP347H & TP316 series, who’s better?
Nb is less likely to burn than Ti, this steel type can be used as a welding core for welding chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steel. This steel has higher high-temperature strength and better resistance to high-temperature oxidation than the 316 series, so it is often used as a hot-strength steel.
Because of its excellent mechanical properties, 347H stainless steel has advantages in working in high temperature environment. Compared with 316 series, 347H stainless steel has better ductility and resistance to stress fracture.
Applications
Because its corrosion resistance in acid, alkali, salt and other corrosive media is similar to that of Ti-containing 18-8 austenitic stainless steel, it is widely used in boiler, power generation, petroleum, chemical, synthetic fiber, food, paper and other industries.
*The allowable anti-oxidation temperature for TP347H stainless steel pipes in boiler tubes is 750℃.
Mainly used in large boiler superheater tubes, reheater tubes, steam pipes and heat exchangers in petrochemical industry.
