    UNS N08811 Pipe & Fitting

    UNS N08811 is a nickel-iron-chromium superalloy commonly known as Incoloy 800HT or Alloy 800HT.It is a high-temperature corrosion-resistant material specifically engineered to deliver exceptional creep and fracture strength at elevated temperatures.

    UNS N08811 resists oxidation,carburization,and nitriding atmospheres and is designed to withstand temperatures up to 982°C (1800°F).Compared to Incoloy 800 and 800H,800HT offers higher creep resistance and stress rupture strength.Its high nickel and chromium content provides excellent corrosion resistance in diverse corrosive environments.Solution annealed to achieve a coarser grain structure (ASTM 5 or coarser),enhancing high-temperature performance.

    Pipe Forms

    • Seamless Tubes/Pipes:
      Available in various outer diameters (6 mm to 325 mm) and wall thicknesses (SCH 10S, SCH 40S, SCH 80S, etc.).
      Outer Diameter: 6 mm – 325 mm (1/8“ to 12”); Wall Thickness: 0.89 mm – 35 mm.Customization is acceptable.
    • Welded Tubes:
      While slightly less strong,they offer greater cost-effectiveness compared to seamless tubes.
    • Special Specifications:
      KAYSUNS also provides square,rectangular,U-shaped,coiled tubes,heat exchanger tubes,and more.

    Fitting Types

    • Welded Pipe Fittings:

    UNS N08811 Pipe QA & Testing

    For pipes conforming to ASTM B407 / ASME SB407 (seamless pipe) or ASTM B514 (welded pipe) standards,Kaysuns ensures their quality through the following tests.

    Chemical Analysis

    Spectral analysis ensures strict compliance with chemical composition standards.

    Mechanical Testing

    • Tensile Testing:
      Measures tensile strength,yield strength,and elongation.
    • Hardness Testing:
      Ensures materials meet Rockwell or Brinell hardness standards.

    Creep Testing

    Although not required for every batch,our factory must still provide laboratory data to demonstrate its stability at high temperatures.

    Non-Destructive Testing

    • Hydrostatic Test:
      Calculate pressure according to standards to verify pipe wall integrity.
    • Eddy Current or Ultrasonic Testing (UT):
      Detect internal defects in pipe walls.

    Grain Size Determination

    Incoloy 800HT must undergo high-temperature solution treatment to achieve a grain size of ASTM No. 5 or coarser to ensure creep strength.

    UNS N08811 Fitting QA & Testing

    For the ASTM B366 / ASME SB366 (Butt Weld/Formed Pipe Fittings) standard,Kaysuns performs the following tests.

    Dimensional Inspection

    Strictly inspect the outside diameter,wall thickness,bevel angle,and distance from center to end face in accordance with ASME B16.9.

    Heat Treatment

    Ensure that the pipe fittings undergo solution annealing at temperatures exceeding 1150°C (2100°F) after forming.

    Surface Examination

    • Liquid Penetrant Inspection (LPI/PT):
      Focuses on detecting microcracks in the curvature and weld areas of elbows and tees.
    • Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI):
      Detects surface and subsurface defects.

    Radiography - RT

    For welded pipe fittings requiring 100% weld inspection (e.g., X-ray grade tees),X-ray testing must be performed.

    Material Identification

    100% material verification using handheld spectrometers to prevent material mix-ups.
