As the most popular steel in the stainless steel industry, 304 stainless steel pipes are also classified as “good or bad”. This is why some manufacturers offer 304 stainless steel pipe prices lower than or higher than their peers.

The reasons are as follows:

High-end 304 stainless steel pipe: The raw materials (steel plate or round steel) come from several major steel mills such as Baosteel and TISCO, and the element content is evenly distributed.

There is no omission of processing procedures (such as multiple annealing, pickling, etc.), and the testing is very strict. Generally, it is customers with high requirements such as state-owned enterprise projects and exports.

Middle-end 304 stainless steel pipe: Most of the raw materials come from steel plants such as Tsingshan and Yongxing Special Steel, with sufficient element content, and the processing operation is not so strict, which can basically meet mechanical properties.

Low-end 304 stainless steel pipe: Most of the raw materials come from regrind or small charge, the elements are not up to standard, and performance testing is not enough. The production process is incomplete, which is why the price is lower than the market price.

When customers buy 304 stainless steel pipes, must not blindly seek low prices. It is the most important thing to buy products that meet the needs.
