Incoloy 825 Key Mechanical Properties
- Strengthening Method:
This alloy cannot be hardened by heat treatment but exhibits significant strength improvement through cold working. - Low-Temperature Performance:
Maintains excellent impact strength and toughness in cryogenic environments without exhibiting brittle transition. - High-Temperature Limitations:
Prolonged exposure above 540°C (1000°F) causes microstructural changes (phase precipitation),significantly reducing toughness and elongation.Therefore,it is unsuitable for designs requiring consideration of creep fracture performance. - Forming and Welding:
Exhibits excellent formability and weldability.Its cold work hardening rate is slightly lower than that of standard austenitic stainless steels,but still requires higher-powered processing equipment.
