Tsingshan And Guangxin Plan An Annual Output Value Of 120 Billion Yuan Stainless Steel Project

On September 22, Xiang Guangda, Chairman of Tsingshan Industrial, and Bai Tao, Chairman of Guangxin Group, went to Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province to hold talks about stainless steel project with Jiao Lansheng and Wen Zhanbin, the leaders of Yangjiang City.

The two parties had in-depth exchanges on Guangqing’s continuing to increase investment in Yangjiang and promoting the development of the local stainless steel industry. The two parties agreed to plan to increase the production of 4 million tons of stainless steel in Yangjiang and add a duplex 2250 rolling mill to continue to contribute to the local social and economic development of Yangjiang.

The newly added 4 million tons of stainless steel pipes production in Yangjiang was carried out simultaneously to support Tsingshan’s 3 million tons of ferronickel project in Indonesia.

Since last year, the stainless steel pipe fittings suppliers of Yangjiang City, Guangqing Stainless Steel Hot Rolling, Hongwang 700,000 tons of stainless steel cold rolling, Kaibao 200,000 tons of stainless steel finishing phase I, and Yongjin 680,000 tons of stainless steel cold rolling phase I have been put into operation successively. A number of major alloy materials projects have been settled, started, and put into production one after another. The two key links of stainless steel hot rolling and cold rolling have been connected historically, realizing the entire industrial chain pattern from smelting to rolling and deep processing. At present, the agglomeration effect and scale effect of the alloy materials industry in Yangjiang have been significantly enhanced, and the clusters of 100 billion-level alloy materials are developing in chains.

At present, Yangjiang City plans to build a 6.17 square kilometers Yangjiang alloy material industrial base. Relying on the three nickel alloy companies of Guangqing, Century Tsingshan, and Yichuan, Yangjiang has an annual production capacity of 2 million tons of stainless steel and 900,000 tons of ductile iron. It is estimated that by 2022, the annual output value of Yangjiang alloy materials industry will reach 120 billion yuan.
