On January 15, PetroChina signed a contract to become the official partner of the China Pavilion at the Dubai World Expo 2020.

The 2020 Dubai World Expo, originally scheduled to open on October 20, 2020, is the first World Expo to be held in the Middle East. Affected by the global new crown epidemic, the current World Expo was postponed to October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022, and the name “Dubai Expo 2020” is still retained.

With the theme of “Communicating Thoughts and Creating the Future”, the World Expo aims to gather the strength of the international community and promote global cooperation to create a better future. Up to now, 192 countries and international organizations have confirmed the participation, and China became one of the first countries to confirm the participation in May 2017.

The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade is responsible for organizing the China Pavilion on behalf of the Chinese government to participate in the 2020 Dubai World Expo. The design theme of the China Pavilion is “Building a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind-Innovation and Opportunities”. The exhibition will focus on four parts: “Exploration and Discovery”, “Communication and Connection”, “Innovation and Cooperation”, and “Opportunities and Future”. , Modern transportation, artificial intelligence, international energy cooperation, smart life, space exploration and other development achievements.

At the invitation of the China Pavilion Organizing Committee of the Dubai World Expo, PetroChina will be a leading company in the field of international energy. In the “communication and connection” link, with the global “Belt and Road Initiative” as the background, to show the world the fruitful results of China’s international energy cooperation .

Up to now, the China Pavilion has successfully signed 9 official partners, namely PetroChina, Shanghai Electric, Tencent, Haier, Wuliangye, Yechun, Op Lighting, Traditional Chinese Painting, and Ubisoft.
