JISCO’s New 904L, 254smo Super Austenitic Stainless Steel Plate Products Are In Mass Production

Recently, new products of JISL’s 904L, 254SMO super austenitic stainless steel plate have been put on the market, with good feedback from customers.

Super austenitic stainless steel is a type of product with high molybdenum content and excellent corrosion resistance. Its corrosion resistance is greatly improved compared with 316L. Among them, 904L has excellent corrosion resistance to intergranular corrosion, pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking, especially in dilute sulfuric acid environment. It is widely used in chemical papermaking, sewage treatment and other industries.

254SMO is a 6Mo super austenitic stainless steel with extremely strong corrosion resistance. It is widely used in harsh environments such as high concentration chloride ion media and seawater, such as desalination of seawater, flue gas desulfurization, and various bleaching devices in the pulp and paper industry.

Super austenitic stainless steel, which has high alloy content and low carbon content, has high requirements for the purity of molten steel, strong crack sensitivity during production, high resistance to high-temperature deformation, easy to become brittle, difficult for hot processing, and high requirements for equipment accuracy , Has always been a bottleneck that plagued industrial mass production.

JISCO has carefully studied and systematically solved the technical problems in the production control process. Two super austenitic stainless steel plates, 904L and 254SMO, were successfully launched. The mechanical properties and surface quality of multi-spec products reached the advanced level in the industry. At present, Jiugang has realized the industrial mass production of 904L and 254SMO super austenitic stainless steel plate products, and is stepping up the development of 904L and 254SMO cold-rolled stainless steel strip products.
