625 Alloy Pipe and Fittings Successfully Delivered

We are pleased to announce that Kaysuns Ltd., a trusted stainless steel pipe and fittings supplier, has recently delivered a successful order of Alloy 625 pipes, fittings and flanges. They will serve the client’s large-scale projects.Once again, our expertise in the field of high-performance alloys and our ability to deliver reliably have been recognized by our customers. The following is a detailed description of the Alloy 625 material.

What is 625 Alloy

Inconel 625 (alloy 625/UNS N06625/2.4856) is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy designed for use in harsh environments. This austenitic high-temperature alloy offers excellent resistance to a wide range of corrosive media and maintains excellent mechanical properties.

Its robust composition effectively prevents pitting, crevice corrosion and intergranular corrosion. It performs particularly well in the presence of alkalis, organic acids, and inorganic acids such as nitric, phosphoric, sulfuric, and hydrochloric acids.

We offer Alloy 625 in seamless tubing (1/4" - 16") and welded tubing (6" - 48"). Fittings and flanges are also available to suit your requirements.

A key characteristic of 625 alloy is its excellent high-temperature strength and resistance to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking, even at temperatures as high as 1093°C. The alloy’s strength and excellent resistance to fatigue is also a key characteristic of 625 alloy. The alloy’s strength and excellent corrosion resistance result from the solid solution strengthening effect of molybdenum and niobium in its nickel-chromium matrix. The chromium and molybdenum content provides excellent resistance to chloride pitting, while the high nickel content enhances resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking.

625 is produced by processes such as vacuum induction melting or argon oxygen decarburization (AOD) and can be further refined by remelting with self-consuming electrodes. It is a highly formable material that is easier to weld than many other nickel-based alloys. Inconel 625 retains its resistance to intergranular corrosion even under welding conditions.
