Lap joint flange also named loose flange or lapped flange, it is a flange type which need to match a lap joint stub end for connecting. As the medium will not contact the lap joint flange – contact stub end only, therefore the flange can reduce the budget of project as it can be made in a low steel such carbon steel, stainless steel etc.
