Forjados n\u00e3o tratados s\u00e3o geralmente pe\u00e7as de a\u00e7o de carbono relativamente baixo para aplica\u00e7\u00f5es n\u00e3o cr\u00edticas ou s\u00e3o pe\u00e7as destinadas a trabalho mec\u00e2nico a quente posterior e tratamento t\u00e9rmico subsequente. As composi\u00e7\u00f5es qu\u00edmicas do a\u00e7o, o tamanho e a forma do produto e as propriedades desejadas s\u00e3o fatores importantes na determina\u00e7\u00e3o qual dos seguintes ciclos de produ\u00e7\u00e3o usar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O objetivo do tratamento t\u00e9rmico de metais \u00e9 transmitir certas propriedades f\u00edsicas desejadas ao metal ou eliminar condi\u00e7\u00f5es estruturais indesej\u00e1veis que podem ocorrer no processamento ou fabrica\u00e7\u00e3o do material. Na aplica\u00e7\u00e3o de qualquer tratamento t\u00e9rmico, \u00e9 desej\u00e1vel que a \u201chist\u00f3ria anterior\u201d ou condi\u00e7\u00e3o estrutural do material seja conhecida para que um m\u00e9todo de tratamento possa ser prescrito para produzir o resultado desejado. Na aus\u00eancia de informa\u00e7\u00f5es quanto ao processamento pr\u00e9vio, \u00e9 desej\u00e1vel um estudo microsc\u00f3pico da estrutura para determinar o procedimento correto a ser seguido.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 style=\"font-size:16px\">Os tratamentos t\u00e9rmicos comerciais de uso comum s\u00e3o esferoidiza\u00e7\u00e3o, normaliza\u00e7\u00e3o, recozimento, endurecimento e t\u00eampera. O tratamento acima pode ser definido resumidamente como segue:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Esferoidiza\u00e7\u00e3o<\/em><\/strong>: aquecimento prolongado de ligas \u00e0 base de ferro a uma temperatura ligeiramente abaixo da faixa cr\u00edtica de temperatura seguida por resfriamento relativamente lento, geralmente ao ar. Pequenos objetos de a\u00e7o com alto teor de carbono s\u00e3o mais rapidamente esferoidizados por aquecimento prolongado a temperaturas alternadamente dentro e ligeiramente abaixo da faixa cr\u00edtica de temperatura. O objetivo deste tratamento t\u00e9rmico \u00e9 produzir uma condi\u00e7\u00e3o globular do carboneto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Normalizando<\/strong><\/em>: aquecer ligas \u00e0 base de ferro a temperaturas de aproximadamente 50 \u2103 acima da faixa de temperatura cr\u00edtica seguida por resfriamento ao ar abaixo da faixa. O objetivo \u00e9 colocar a estrutura de metal em uma condi\u00e7\u00e3o normal, removendo todas as tens\u00f5es internas e tens\u00f5es dadas ao metal durante alguns opera\u00e7\u00e3o de processamento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>anelamento<\/em><\/strong> \u00e9 um termo abrangente aplicado a tratamentos t\u00e9rmicos que podem ser usados para remover tens\u00f5es; induzir suavidade; alterar a ductilidade, resist\u00eancia, propriedades el\u00e9tricas, magn\u00e9ticas ou outras propriedades f\u00edsicas, refinar a estrutura cristalina; remover gases ou produzir uma microestrutura. A temperatura do tratamento e a taxa de resfriamento dependem do objeto do tratamento e da composi\u00e7\u00e3o do material a ser tratado termicamente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Endurecimento <\/em><\/strong>\u00e9 o aquecimento e t\u00eampera de certas ligas \u00e0 base de ferro a partir de uma temperatura dentro ou acima da faixa cr\u00edtica de temperatura. A temperatura de aquecimento e o per\u00edodo de tempo nessa temperatura, ou &quot;per\u00edodo de imers\u00e3o&quot;, dependem da composi\u00e7\u00e3o do material. Os meios de t\u00eampera usados podem depender da composi\u00e7\u00e3o, dureza desejada e da complexidade do projeto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Temperamento<\/em><\/strong> \u00e9 o reaquecimento ap\u00f3s o endurecimento de ligas \u00e0 base de ferro a alguma temperatura abaixo da faixa de temperatura cr\u00edtica, seguido por qualquer taxa desejada de resfriamento.
