Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 et commercialis\u00e9 en 1905 par l'International Nickel Company (Inco Alloys) sous la marque MONEL.<\/p><p>Les \u00e9tapes suivantes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 les suivantes <strong>alliage de nickel-molybd\u00e8ne B<\/strong> et le<strong> alliage de nickel-chrome-molybd\u00e8ne-tungst\u00e8ne C<\/strong>qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 introduites vers 1930. Leur inventeur \u00e9tait la Haynes Stellite Company (Haynes International). Deux d'entre eux sont enregistr\u00e9s sous la marque HASTELLOY.<\/p><p>L'\u00e9tape suivante dans le d\u00e9veloppement des alliages \u00e0 base de nickel a \u00e9t\u00e9 franchie par Inco.
