El n\u00famero de ciclos necesarios para provocar la falla es inversamente proporcional a la amplitud de la tensi\u00f3n aplicada. etapas. Cada etapa contribuye al colapso estructural final.<\/p><ul><li data-path-to-node=\"6,0,0\"><b>Inicio de grietas:<br \/><\/b>El da\u00f1o microsc\u00f3pico comienza en los puntos de concentraci\u00f3n de tensi\u00f3n. Los ara\u00f1azos superficiales, las esquinas afiladas o los defectos internos del material suelen iniciar esta etapa. La deformaci\u00f3n pl\u00e1stica repetida en estos puntos forma una peque\u00f1a grieta visible.<\/li><li data-path-to-node=\"6,1,0\"><b>Propagaci\u00f3n de grietas:<br \/><\/b>La grieta crece lentamente con cada ciclo de tensi\u00f3n. La superficie de la fractura suele presentar marcas caracter\u00edsticas en forma de rayas o estr\u00edas. Estas marcas indican la direcci\u00f3n y la velocidad de crecimiento de la grieta a lo largo del tiempo.<\/li><li data-path-to-node=\"6,2,0\"><b>Fractura final:<br \/><\/b>Una vez que el material restante ya no puede soportar la carga m\u00e1xima, se produce una fractura r\u00e1pida. Este fallo final ocurre de forma repentina y a menudo parece fr\u00e1gil. El material puede soportar un n\u00famero extremadamente elevado de ciclos (normalmente superior a 10\u2074 ciclos). Esto se aplica a las vibraciones menores persistentes en los sistemas de tuber\u00edas de acero inoxidable.<\/li><li data-path-to-node=\"12,1,0\"><b>Fatiga de ciclo bajo (LCF):<br \/><\/b>Estas condiciones se producen bajo niveles de tensi\u00f3n extremadamente altos. Los materiales tienden a fallar con relativa rapidez (en menos de 10\u2074 ciclos).
